BFGF

"BFGF" is McDonald's Philippines new commercial which stands for BoyFriendGirlfriend. I have to admit that I found it really cute and adorable when I first watched it. I think everything children do has this "cute factor" in them. But cute factor aside, children who will see this video without parental guidance will most likely be led to a notion that BFGF relationship is just something cute and adorable.

I found friends' romantic relationships cute and adorable but it's  WAAAAAY MOOOOOOORE than that. Any romantic relationship should be taken seriously because it is a serious matter. Something not to be taken lightly because in the end the pain may not be as light as the relationship was in the beginning. I pray for parents or any guardian that more than gushing over the cuteness of this video, they will be mature and responsible enough to explain to youngsters how a romantic relationship entails a great responsibility.

It horrifies me to think should this happen in reality. Little girls asking boys about being in a relationship? Call me a killjoy today but let's see who will be grieving and complaining if you see children of tomorrow jumping from one relationship to another. McDo fries can't save relationships you know.

Oo nga no. But you know what majority of people got really upset over that. Parang simpleng commercial lang naman daw. Whether it was taken down or not, okay lang sa kin. Kasi either way, someone can use it as a teaching moment for kids. To help them understand what they see on tv.
